This interview probably won’t make headlines stateside. Of course it wouldn’t, Prez Bush actually was engaged in a true interview that has been described as “intellectually rigorous.” The White House had granted an interview with Tele/Radio Eire and their reporter, Carole Coleman, seems to have put him through the ringer. So “intellectually rigorous” that the President couldn’t reply with his prepared and rehearsed answers. So “intellectually rigorous”, that the White House filed a complaint with the Irish Embassy in Washington DC. Coincidentally, the White House cancelled an interview between Lady Laura and the Irish TV and Radio network. You can view the transcript of the interview here.
In other news…the Filipino family that had been living illegally in the Bay Area for the past 19 years have been deported and left for the Philippines late last night. Leaving their townhome in Fremont, they will be moving into a 3 bedroom home, in which there are already 15 family members living. Since they had been here illegally, they are not allowed entry back into the US for 10 years.
