Kellybean
Random bits of life

With my lack of posting, S wondered if Kellybean, in all it’s glory, is coming to an end. True, that I haven’t been posting with a fervor like before. It’s not like we’re doing absolutely nothing, we are out and about…but, honestly folks, by the time I get home, take Lucie out for a walk, feed Mads dinner, give her a bath, make dinner for S & I, take Lucie out again, it’s 11.00p and the last thing I want to do sit in front of the computer and write about how slow my day was, or how Mads’ almost started crawling, or how more apparent it is that Lucie is slowing down (sad!). The weekends, you may wonder? Ha! We’re going on vacation at the end of the month, so that should provide me with enough fodder for a couple posts – especially since the only thing planned is our flight to/from Cork and a rental car. I’ve got to look at this with a new set of eyes…I’m also getting tired of the color theme.

S & I did manage to con my mom into watching Mads last weekend so that we could go see a flick. Since we haven’t been keeping up-to-date with what is THE movie to see, (for the record, I offered to see 300, but S passed), S conceded we decided to see The Lives of Others, the German film that won for Best Foreign Film. I thought it was great! To see the character transformation unfold was…nice (for lack of more appropriate term), despite the subject matter (the East German Stasi and their eavesdropping program – hum, sounding a little familiar?). By the end of the movie I could safely say that I was emotionally vested. Though I felt sad for the main character, I did leave the theatre with a warm, fuzzy feeling. The 2 hour 17 minute run time didn’t bother me at all.
