well, almost. 28 more days until i re-enter the workplace. (B – will my cube be cleaned out by then? just kidding!) 28 more days until i become another car on 280 (the thought of driving 2h each day is not appealing to me at all, not that it ever did). the upside is that i get to see my friends again and that i get to go shopping for my “transitional” work clothes. the upside is that mads will be learning to socialize with other kiddies and hear french on a daily basis. if it weren’t for the cobwebs in my wallet and bank account…
as i mentioned, mads got a high chair for xmas. we had started discussions about the introduction of solid foods with her MD at the last visit. sounds like it’ll be fun. messy, but fun. we’re planning to make 99% of the baby food, but we’ll see how long that idea lasts.
speaking of mads, she’s about 4 1/2 months old now, rolling onto her tummy like an old pro. rolling back on to her back is something she hasn’t really tried yet. she’s also starting to “push up” and kicking her legs like a mad woman. we can tell that she’s VERY eager to move. VERY. EAGER. oy! she’s also chatting a lot more. on those rare mornings, her constant chatting with the animals on her crib bumper wakes us up. the best thing is the laughing. it is TOO CUTE! i swear, nothing is cuter than hearing a baby giggle/laugh.
we haven’t been up to much…recuperating from the holidays and this cold that’s been going around. s went back to work today, we shopped at target (the tiny earthquakes last week, made s & i realize that we REALLY needed to get to out “preparedness kit” together), took Lucie for a walk and mailed some packages. second and third to spending time with mads and lucie, i think i’ll miss my trips to target most. j/k
