Sorry for the blog lag again. I’m in mourning. Okay, okay, so they’re not dating anymore, why cut the one person that could guarantee you a definite female audience? So, to further that point, Alias has been cut from the TiVo to-do list. Le sigh…ouais, il est francais.
Last weekend, S+I joined our friends Niki, Bill, the Darlings and the Eastlacks and headed down to Fort Mason for Oktoberfest! It was just craziness inside. So many people! They had sold out of the 1L steins, so we were left with the 1/2L steins.
eine, zwei, drei…
here are some of the boys partaking in jager shots – blech!
After Oktoberfest, since I was the least drunk out of the 8 of us, we packed everyone into our teeny-tiny A3 and tried to make the opening of the “new” deYoung museum. Afer finding parking, and finding the actual line to get in…we decided to leave. Yes, the museum was going to be open for 31 hours straight free of admission to celebrate the opening, but we were a 3 hour wait from the door. 3 hours? Oh, yah, forgot to tell you, it was about midnight when we got into line. So, we all left, packed into the car again and made the not-quite-5-minute drive to Bill’s house atop twin peaks.
To make a long story short, Bill’s roommate has an awesome house atop twin peaks. They’ve got crazy views of the city as well as crazy history of the house – something about panic buttons everywhere. And, oh yeah, they’ve got an elevator in the house. An elevator!
In other news…I’ll spare you pictures of the roof and the post as chez rebaud is slowly becoming one nightmare after another. Le sigh…all I need say is two words and you can probably sympathize…D R Y R O T. Ugh.
To finance this ginormous project ahead of us, we tried our hands at a poker night at Adam + Shelley’s place this past Friday. I didn’t fare as well as last time, but S made up for the both of us. Our friend, Brad, who was playing for the first time (or so he says) with us came out as the big winner. Beginner’s luck? ;o) Just kidding Brad!
