Bad Mother: A Chronicle of Maternal Crimes, Minor Calamities, and Occasional Moments of Grace by Ayelet Waldman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
As all you moms out there, you know that almost everyone in the world has an opinion, one way or another, on how you should be raising your child/children.
Bad Mother goes beyond explaining the adjustment to life with a baby/toddler and explores the struggles, victories and draws that a mom goes through raising a family this day in age.
Ayelet Waldman doesn’t hold back in this memoir – she’s honest, witty and covers a good many of the mom neuroses one may (or may not – yeah right) have.
All in all, it just reminds us supermoms out there to give each other a break (we’ve all been there) and most importantly to give ourselves a break…and a pat on the back because we’re doing the best we can and if you take issue with that, well, you can just stuff it.
