And what a scary (for a moment) Halloween it was! Sylvain and I were cleaning up the kitchen to make preparing dinner easier – and lo and behold, the kitchen sink decided to slowly drain for us. And I mean SLOOOOOW. So we cleared the the space under the sink, Sylvain grabbed some tools and voila, we have a temperamental drain – sometimes drains quickly, sometimes not.
Friday night, I had a dinner & movie date with my mom – we saw Being Julia with Annette Bening and Jeremy Irons – great ending!!! and had dinner afterwards at a new Mediterranean restaurant across the street – the best Baba Ganouj I’ve ever had! The Shawerma wasn’t bad either. I then went home and joined the “boys” poker game in progress. While I’m still trying to get a hold of the game, I ended being up from the $5 Sylvain gave me to play.
Saturday, our correct refrigerator was finally delivered. Now, the water line needs to be connected and we’ll have a fully functional refrigerator…finally.
Sunday, we again, spent a lot of time and way too much money at Home Depot. We updated light switches (but stopped short of updating the actual outlets; which was probably a wise decision) and also changed out the knobs on the kitchen cabinets. We were too pooped and not drunk enough to venture down to Castro Street for the festivities, so instead we handed out candy and tried out our new whirlpool tub!

Thought about South Pacific…for a second there. Was it Mitzi Gaynor who was “gonna wash that man right outa (her) hair and send him on his way”?
Leave it to women in SF to put things in perspective: “If your boyfriend lied to you, ignored you, spent all your money on his friends, and trashed your home, you’d cut him off like a bad perm. George Bush has done all that to us and more. It’s time to kiss him goodbye.”
Why dogs are better than cats. ;o)
My high school 10-year reunion was last night. As I had expected, everyone, for the most part, stayed the same. Everyone kept to the clique they belonged to in high school…I was guilty of doing the same. Though, it was nice to see people that I hadn’t seen in years and I avoided those that wouldn’t have affected me either way. I especially enjoyed running into an old friend that designs the most beautifully funky European style shoes. ;o) The people that I had hoped to see weren’t there – but hopefully the next one around…
What do you think?
I remember hearing something about it, but not really paying attention, but Minnie sings too.
Yes, as in Minnie Driver.
Okay, you can call me crazy, nuts, a bit obsessed or all of the above…but Dogster has launched a new feature: Doggie Diaries. Yes, like a weblog for your pooch!
(You can roll your eyes here.)
And, of course, yes, I have started Lucie’s blog, La vie du chien.
What can I say? I love our dog.
